Wild Hour

Privacy, plainly

Short, honest, and written by the people who run the club.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist we collect your email address and nothing else. It goes to our email platform so we can write to you about the club: when the founding places open, and what’s coming. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you properly.

Your Wild Hour

The free guided hour runs entirely in your browser. Your choices (where you’re headed, your children’s ages, the weather) stay on your device; we don’t see them and they are never sent to us. If you add a photo to a keepsake, it is used only to make that image on your own phone: it is never uploaded to us. The keepsake is yours to save and share.

Children

Wild Hour is a club for grown-ups who take children outdoors. We market to parents, carers and teachers, not to children, and we don’t knowingly collect any information about a child.

Who we share data with

Only the services that make the site work: our hosting provider (Netlify) and our email platform. We never sell your data, and there’s no advertising tracking on this site.

Cookies

We don’t set tracking cookies. The site uses local storage on your own device for convenience only, as described above.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you (it will be your email address), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@thewildhour.co and a human will reply.

A note on safety

Every adventure we publish assumes an adult is present and in charge. You know your children, your patch of outdoors, and the day’s conditions better than any website can; our ideas are invitations, and your judgement always comes first.
